DID YOU KNOW:
About eight percent of the earth's crust is aluminum, making it the most abundant metal on the planet.
DID YOU KNOW:
The first robotic roller tooling for aluminum tried out in America was for the Ford GT40 in 2000; And MBE had it's hands in this project's engineering and component-builds. Ever since, MBE has had a keen focus on aluminum closures and robotic techniques that can be implemented to improve manufacturability.
MBE's developmental work on aluminum sheet forming carried through years of R&D and millions of dollars that produced a congregative product line of robotic automation tooling for aluminum closures. That tooling, specifically designed for aluminum, also performs superior on mild and hardened steels.
MBE's automation cells are tried and true, offering robust quality and value.
DID YOU KNOW:
The first robotic roller tooling tried out on a production closure was MBE's own 2003 project; Its goal was to improve the 2004 CTS aluminum hood which GM agreed to provide a quantity to MBE. The results were outstanding as compared to the existing production hemming process.
This was motivating to MBE and improvements to the congregative product line of robotic automation tooling is a continuous part of MBE's daily goals.
